Hello, everybody. First of all, I've got to give credit to Fear the Boot for letting me know about this forum. Thanks, guys! Let me say a few things about myself. My name is Krzysztof (Chris) and I'm a quite experienced RPG gamer. I moved to Rochester, England more than a year ago and since then I am struggling to find a group to play with. It isn't going very well. The gaming groups that are closest to where I live tend to meet on days I cannot attend and I haven't figured out a way of organising a local group yet. I have done some Play-by-Forum gaming, mostly GMing. All of that has been in Polish though. I do not think I have the right level of command over English to GM a game over here (plus, I'm rather short on time right now so won't be able to come up with a good adventure), but I would most certainly like to play. This is where you guys come in.
I'm hoping somebody is looking for a player for their games. I can play nearly any system, but would rather avoid anything D&D-ish. My favourite settings include the World of Darkness, Warhammer, Earthdawn, Fallout, Star Wars (I don't know any mechanics here) and Serenity (though this one I only got recently, so as far as I'm a great fan of the world, I don't know the mechanics yet). But again, I'm willing to play anything, as long as it's not a dungeon crawler.
When I GM I tend to keep a 75% role-playing - 25% rolling dice ratio. I tend to take over some situations without testing and excessive dice rolling, just to keep it dramatic and short. I like focusing on the plot and always try to think of an interesting scenario. As a player, I always adhere to who my character is and I try to role-play as much as possible.
So generally speaking, as I don't want to impose myself upon anybody, feel free to drop me a PM if you feel I'm your kind of person to play with. I'm very eager to game with you guys and can guarantee at least one post a day (usually more), of course taking into consideration the time difference (I'm GMT).
Best to all!
