I did a cursory search and didn't find anything related to this topic. If i didn't look hard enough, please forgive me, and point me in the right direction.

Basically, what I'm looking for is a guide on how to use the tools I now have access to as the administrator of my particular game.

In particular, what I want to do is run a few different threads simultaneously (for character intros) and then weave the separate threads together into the main IC thread once the scenes are finished.

Is this possible?

It is possible to merge threads.

Scroll towards the bottom of your board.  Look right under the last thread and before the "Pages: [1]   Go Up" links.  There is a drop down menu which allows you to do several things with the threads on your board.  If you choose, "Move selected to" then the drop down menu to the right becomes accessible, and you can move the selected thread pretty much anywhere on the entire messageboard, I think.  Stuck one of my threads on some other Groovy Gamer board by accident one time, heh, and had to get an admin to fix it.  And to select a thread, just click on the checkmark box that sits at the far right end of each thread line (next to the Last Post listing).

Anyway, you can merge multiple threads.  When you do so, you can have one of the existing thread titles be the title for the merged thread or create a new title.  The new merged thread lists the post in the order they were made.

I was messing with this the other day. It doesn't quite work the way I want it too, because it orders itself automatically.

What i really want, essentially, is the ability to be running two separate scenes in different threads and then put one immediately following another in a third (the main IC thread). Sort of like writing chapters in a book slightly out of order, and then splicing them together later.

Is this possible?

Not directly.  You could copy and paste into a text document, order the threads how you want, and then create a new thread out of the resulting document.  A couple of links to point back to the foundation threads could top it off.

Anyway, hope that helps.

I'd thought of that too. It works, though it means that the actual author of the original post wouldn't have modifications privileges once I repost to the main IC thread. I guess I could just have them all do it themselves in the correct order.

That will probably end up being what I do.

Thanks.
