Looking at a half-elf or elf for my character, just FYI.  The decision may hinge on the question of if the Whirling Steel Strike feat from the Eberron Campaign Setting would be allowed or not.

@ Cyclone

I don't see why not, I assume you want to use it because it's a weapon of the discipline you are going to be favouring with your swordsage levels? If not, it's still alright with me if you take it.

@ Daemon

Stats look great.

@ Midnight,

Most of the area map details and racial ethnicities can be found in the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting book.

I found a pretty hand website that lists the traits and some other player info from the Legacy of Fire Campaign Guide here here

And a decent wiki here

Been pretty helpful for filling out background info.

Midnight, do you have room for another player here?

EDIT:  Ooops, nevermind.  Looks like you have the number of players you were looking for.  I had noticed one drop but just realized that one showed up afterwards and claimed that spot.

Actually, no, it isn't.  Alas, the longsword's only linked to the three schools that the Swordsage doesn't have access to. Sad  I have two further questions, largely unrelated.  First, would you allow the Warblade's Weapon Aptitude ability to apply to the Weapon Focus gained through the Swordsage's Discipline Focus and thus allowing one to mix and match with sufficient time?  Second, would the Flensing Strike feat (also from ECS) be permitted?

@ Toric,

Actually, I believe Midnight is looking for 4-5. I only count 4 so far...5 including yourself.

Working Concepts for the Legacy of Fire Adventure Path: Update

Cyclone - swordsage/monk (half-elven)
Daemon - paladin (of Sarenrae)
Frostchilde - sorcerer
jll1024 - ranger (bow style)

No, I could take a 5th if you want to play Toric.

I decided to go with a half-elf after all, but I've stumbled a cross a small problem while trying to figure out what skill the Skill Focus should be in.  The Book of Nine Swords' Diamond Mind school relies heavily on Concentration skill checks, but Concentration no longer exists as a skill in Pathfinder, nor was it folded into another skill like in the Beta version.

Well, it was folded into Spellcraft I believe, and what I did in my FtF game was I just used the Martial Lore skill instead, since it is basically the equivalent skill for a maneuver using class.

Question.  Any objection to the first Swordsage variant listed under the Adaptation header on page 20?

Looks alright Cyclone, though, I think you might have made an error. The Book of Nine Swords states that you get the Unarmed Strike progression of a monk. Now, I've always took that you mean your unarmed damage goes up like a monk, so it would stack with your monk levels for that. I don't believe that it gives you Flurry as well, otherwise it would say both, IMO. It just seems like an uneven trade in my mind to get two class features for what amounts to one built in feat. Again, that's just what I gather from the page, if there's a better explanation, please give me a link or something.
