Marius prepares to take down the wildman | HP 44/44 | AC 14 (Protection from Evil) | Spells 5/6 4/7 5/6 3/4 | spells up protection from evil, light of Mercuria

Time seemed to slow as Marius looked through the rain onto the battle.  The group had angered Strahd and they may not make it through the well placed Ambush, but the skilled archer wasn't going down without a fight.

Marius searched his blood - Light of Mercuria - as he invoked the magic he began to gold in a golden radiance emanating in a 30-ft radius, further shining dim light for another 30-ft.

Marius moved quickly maneuvering for a shot at the wildman, "just a few more seconds ..."

Hassid | 123/123 hp | AC 24 | In the Middle of Wargs & Wolves

Hassid brings his blade to bare with efficiency.  One would think that it was show how he danced about if they did not know him better & know that this is the shurapoli or the dance of the blade, designed to make the fighter flow as the constant waves of the ocean, and with all her fury during a storm.  Soon the mutts would be down, & Hassid would be able to bring his attention to the other two servants of Strahd.

Attack 1 = 30 (Crit Threat)
Damage 1 = 31 Silver/Magic/Slashing
Attack 2 = 19
Damage 2 = 33 Silver/Magic/Slashing

Crit Confirm = 14
Crit Damage = 21

"Regroup and rally, regroup and rally" goes the mantra Ioan mumbles. The blessing of "Cure Critical Wounds" swirls warmly around his empty hand, and he charges into the dogpile, risking a savage biting himself in order to thrust that hand past the fur, fangs, and fury to heal Adam...

Adam | 56/75 remaining| AC 22 vs evil | 5/5/4/1|  Prone, Magic circle of protection vs evil, blessed

Adam fell as the fetid beasts brought him to the ground.  It seemed to occur in slow motion as the ground moved closer and he lost his balance.  He felt his own blood mix inside his armor with the mud, horse blood, and guts of the once living animals.  It was a queer feeling, one that he never quite got used to.

A man of lesser experience would have panicked and attempted to stand.  That would be the wrong reaction.  Countless battles taught him to stay put.  He knew Hassid was there weaving death among them.  He saw Marius' missiles strike them.  He would fight from the ground and rely upon the strong arms of his companions to save him.  Choosing the worg farther from Hassid he lashed out with his greatsword to let them know he wasn't afraid and still had bite.

OOC
Attack 1 (1d20+8=16)
Damage 1 Silver/Magic/Slashing (2d6+8=14)
Attack 2 (1d20+3=14)
Damage 2 Slashing/Silver/Magical (2d6+8=14)

Yemam | Drained and fighting through the pain | HP 38/58 | AC 17; AC 18 w/ dodge against wildman (AC 21 w/ skirmish; AC 27 vs AoO) | Blessed

Yemam catches his breath and lets his vision clear before attempting to move around the crazed wildman.  The wounds are starting to take their toll and the scout moves a bit slower than usual.  He moves around him raises the sunsword and swings.  The scout realized the arc was off the pain was greater than he had anticipated.

Hassid | 123/123 hp | AC 24 | Attacking Yemams Attacker

Hassid slashes the lone Worg as it runs past him, and turns his attention, as much as he would love to be able to face the Dire Wolves...Yemam was in too much danger to ignore.  Hassid levelled himself out and lept over Adam & Ioan level to them to land on the other side as he continued through the mud, over horses and barely touching ground before arriving before Yemam and behind his attacker to bring his blade down upon the creature.

ooc=attack of opportunity upon the Worg then tumble to Yemam at -10 to move at full speed (tumbling to move at full speed)
AoO = 15
AoO Damage = 29 Magic/Silver/Slashing
Attack 1 = 24 (against a foe in the middle of a grapple)
Damage = 33 Silver/Magic/Slashing

Tumbling = 31 -10(full speed) = 21

Marius aiding Yemam | HP 44/44 | AC 14 (Protection from Evil) | Spells 5/6 4/7 5/6 3/4 | spells up Protection from evil, Light of Mercuria, Blessed

Marius wasted no time, the radiance focused his eyes and he saw the opening he needed.  He aimed both hands and released golden rays at the raging vampire, "not today you foaming dog."  The golden radiance concentrated at the tips of his fingers before flying in a perfect line and burning the vampires skin, "burn you filthy thing ... burn!"

Abrud | 30/59 HP | Bard Music 5/5 | Spells 6/6 7/7 4/5 | 1d20=19

Abrud finally gets his wits about him and flings some dust over his horse Crescendo onto the dwarf with the crossbow. The dwarf is blinded by the dust and Abrud uses the moment to mount his horse Crescendo again and reassess the situation.

"Rally to Abrud!" Ioan shouts, seeing the lone worg's tail between its legs as it yelps and turns. He points at the glittering dwarf and invokes Doom. The invocation sounds a lot like "You're next, shorty."

Yemam | Fighting on Instincts| HP 38/58 | AC 17; AC 18 w/ dodge against wildman (AC 21 w/ skirmish; AC 27 vs AoO) | Blessed

Yemam saw the madmam lurch forward to grab hold of him.  His body felt tired, his muscles were moving slowly, his sword felt heavy, but the scout knew he had to defend himself.  The scout smiled as he saw his opening.  The madman, in his eagerness to defeat Yemam, had left himself open and will pay for it.  Yemam tightened his grip on his sword, suddenly focused, and drove the sunsword deep into the stomach of the madman vampire.

"Not that easy.  The devil may have spawned your body and gave you a second life, but me and my allies will surely take that life away."

Yemam knew he had to escape the madman, but he could feel that the others would be near soon.  The sword wound in the vampire’s belly would stall the creature temporarily, but that was all the time the scout needed.  Yemam rolled around the madman and again brought his sword up to strike.  This strike would most definitely hit a lesser creature when Yemam was a full strength, but the instilled darkness is slowing the scout and the strike is not a sure.

Hassid | 123/123 hp | AC 21 | Retrieving Sword

Hassid was glad and confident that Yemams attacker was foilded for the time being, but the sudden blast and resolidification of the berserker took him off guard, and suddenly his Master's blade was being pulled from his hands.  Flashes of memories burst through his head, learning to wield a practice blade, swinging a similar weapon facing this very sword in very real practice, Hassid's Master allowing himself to be felled by Hassid's hand to allow his student a chance to understand, retrieving this very blade and wielding it in evil, casting off the evil and running for his life, the mist and his many uses of this blade here in this strange land.

He could not let his blade be lost, even though it would cost him a moment or two running to Abrud's aid.  He would have to let the others close in first, he had to steady himself and turn with the falling body to retrieve his Master's blade.

Tumble = 18  I hope that is enough, otherwise I will be spending the next action retrieving that blade as well.

Yemam | Fighting a mean dwarf| HP 38/58 | AC 17; AC 18 w/ dodge against the dwarf (AC 21 w/ skirmish; AC 27 vs AoO) | Blessed

Yemam took a moment to breathe after the wildman turned to mist.  He will be back, but for the time being Yemam was ok.  The scout looked around quickly at the remainder of the battle.  Hassid's sword was stuck in the weird mist of the madman, Adam was hurt and tripped, but Abrud looked the worst for wear.

Yemam moved past Hassid and towards Abrud's attacker.  "Hey...why not pick on someone who can fight back."  The scout's movement was still slowed through the stress of battle and from the madman's attacks.  His own wounds were causing the scout large amounts of pain, but if he didn't act quickly, Abrud wouldn't make it another attack.

Yemam swung his sword again, but it felt heavier and heavier.  He had hoped that whatever the madman did was not a poison, because that is how it feels currently.  The scout's blade would have most definitely stuck true before, but now he doubted it.  As the blade comes closer and closer to the dwarf, Yemam's only hope is that his tactical position helps catch the dwarf off guard.
