Hassid spins on the ball of his foot and again attempts an attack on the elf, but he was a little farther away than he had remembered, but still he attempts to swing at the elf, if just to attract his attention and allow his friends time to bring the creature down.

Attack 1 = 14
Damage = 25
Attack 2 = 11
Damage 2 = 27

As Ioan (Init 20) rides towards the fight he realizes that waiting to bless his friends is unwise. From the road (K8) he invokes Spiritual Weapon (N8), and a magical hammer appears and then attacks the wraith at O7 (OOC: SW has no penalties for incorporeal targets).

Spiritual Weapon: Attack (1d20+11=19)
Spiritual Weapon: Damage (1d8+2=3)
Overcoming Spell Resistance (1d20+8=19)

Hassid is glad to have his friends at his side.  So he charges in on the shadowy figures slicing his blade through one as he closes.

Charge N7 & attack.  3 into Combat Expertise for AC of 21 or 16 w/o armor bonus.

Attack = 21
Damage = 24
Miss % = 73
Magic/Slicing/Silver

Marius begins to analyze the situation. Those creatures will cut through our armor like air, our fighters will need help against those things Marius thinks to himself. Lost in thought his reaction time is slowed.  "Adam. Hassid wait!  Your armor won't protect you against those things, I can cover you in protective energy that will make getting hit more difficult just need a moment to summon the magical energies," Marius shouts hopefully just before Hassid begins his charge.

Init=11

(ooc: Stuck with many option I have an If then scenario ...

If Hassid is willing to wait (my init is rather low) Marius will step up and cast Mage Armor on Hassid.  Incorporeal creatures can't bypass Mage armor the way they do normal armor

If Hassid does not wish to wait he will cast it on Adam. If Adam does not wish to wait he will move to Yemam and cast it on him.

Marius steps up to (insert character name), summons the magic within his blood then touches (insert character name here).  The magical energies flicker and a protective energy field surrounds him.

If no one waits: Marius summons the magic from his blood and casts Magic Weapon on his bow.  He takes a quick glance and moves for a better angle (F6).

Adam on Gabriel moving to J7| HP 51/51 |AC 22/13- No Armor| Spells 5/5/4 Active Spell- Prot from Evil - Casting Spiritual Weapon

Adam moves Gabriel closer to the battle and as he hears Marius' call he stops.  Without turning his head from his opponents he shouts,  "I will gladly accept your help.  See to Hassid first as Gabriel is already offering some protection against these foul creatures."

He then follows Ioan's lead and casts "Spiritual Weapon."  A shimmering greatsword appears and attacks the creature assailing the lone warrior.  A blinding flash of light rockets into the air as the spiritual weapon bites deeply into the shade.

Initiative (1d20+1=12)
Magic Greatsword (1d20+8=16)
Greatsword Damage (1d8+1=9)

OOC- Adam moves to J7 and casts Spiritual weapon, placing it in O6.  The weapon then attacks the enemy in O7.

Marius - helping Hassid [AC 16 Mage armor; 34/34 HP]

(ooc: since Hassid opted to wait Marius takes this action).

Seeing Hassid wait Marius summons the the magic within his blood Mage Armor and quickly moves up and touches him (E2).  The magical energies flicker and and surround Hassid. (ooc: Incorporeal creatures can't bypass Mage armor the way they do normal armor.  The armor bonus does not stack you have to use either Mage Armor or the Armor you wear)

Hassid felt a pleasant satisfaction after feeling the Falchion take hold and tearing the creature.  But his friends would need him.  Leaving the last Shadow by the warrior to the capable hands of the spiritual weapons Hassid chases after the shades that whisped off after his friends, Charging after the fades Hassid again brought his blade to bare for his friends sake.

3 into Combat Expertise move to intercept or attack shade thingie.  If need to charge +2 to hit & -2 ac
Attack = 20
Damage = 30 Silver/Slashing/Magic
Miss % = 84

Marius casting a spell |AC 16 w/ Mage Armor; 37/37 HP|

Happy that his magic is able to offer some protection to his friends Marius moves for cover and a better angle (F1), "some assistance would be greatly appreciated about now ..." Marius shouts as he moves.  From the moment Marius could remember he always knew that the magic within his blood would grow in strength, he never understood how, but the magic within his blood always spoke to him offering assistance and guidance this time was no different.

As he moves the familiar voice of his magic becomes clear, he summons the power Scorching Ray and releases it at the shade in L2.

Ranged Touch = 21 (22 w/m 30-ft point blank)
Dam = 15
(16 w/n 30-ft point blank)
Overcome Spell Resistance =7
Miss% = 99

(ooc: I'll email Marius' level 8 character sheet tonight.  Sorry weekend was crazy)

Adam on Gabriel at J7| HP 51/51 |AC 22/13- No Armor| Spells 5/5/3 Active Spells- Prot from Evil, Spiritual Weapon, Bull's Strength

Following Ioan's example Adam directs his Spiritual Greatsword to attack the remaining shade attacking the paralyzed warrior.  Adam was unsure whether his weapon did any damage.  With that in mind and the paralyzed state of the warrior Adam spurs Gabriel forward to directly engage the remaining shade.

Adam felt fear well in his heart as his first mighty swing passed through the shade.  All his battle experience told him that he should feel the ripping on sinew and flesh, but his blade passed through with no affect.  Whispering a small prayer Adam swung again at the shade and this time felt the magic blade grab onto substance.  He felt it tear through the shade and listened as it howled in pain.

Spiritual Greatsword (1d20+8=13)
Spiritual Greatsword Damage (1d8+1=7)

Greatsword Attack #1 (1d20+11=19)
Greatsword Damage #1 (2d6+14=25)
Greatsword Att #1 Miss chance (1d100=28)

Greatsword Attack/Damage #2 (1d20+6=16, 2d6+14=25)
Greatsword Attacke #2 Miss Chance (1d100=87)
