Fear grips Hassid and in his fright he does something that he thought he would never do.  Hassid ran.  He bolted up the stairs easily dodging the creature as he rolled through Ioan and up to the main floor of the Church and out the door, placing his back to the church stonework to catch his breath.

(that is assuming that Hassid is now frightened, if he is not then you can narrate what he does, or if this is not enough alter it as you need)

I will take 10 on the tumble check (PrC ability) and easily make the DC 15 to avoid the AoO

What was going on?! Lorelei barely got out of Hassid's way as he dodged by her and out of sight. Marius too looked shaken, sheer panic was beginning to sink in. Ducking down so that she had a better angle, and perhaps a proper idea of what was happening down below.. the warlock takes a shot at the monster threatening Ireena. And not waiting to see if the magic hit, she slinked down by Marius and Yemam and bamph'd into the room beside the trouble female.

Eldritch blast (1d20+6=15)  -- not sure if it hit, so I didn't bother to roll damage. Using her anklet of translocation, Lorelei moved to M6.

Adam- Main Floor Behind Alter  35/43 AC 22 2/1/1  Protection from Evil, Casting Remove Fear

As Adam scans the moldy pages he feels sickness and corruption grasping at his soul.  He instinctively whispers a pray to the Father for aid.  He is relieved as a comforting feeling warms his heart and drives away the invading foulness.  After finishing the foul documents he stuffs them into his satchel so no one else would be subjected to the blaspheme contain on them.  He would dispose of them later.

As he stands Adam is stunned to see Hassid dashing out the chapel door.  Seconds later he hears the strange creature tear into Ioan.  Things had turned from bad to worse and his search had yielded nothing to help them.

Adam quickly surveyed the situation in his mind as the tactician started to weigh the battle field.  The fiend below was tearing them to shreds and their best fighter just fled from the scene.  Knowing Hassid's bravery this could only be due to some type of magical/supernatural effect.  Ireena had reported that others had shot arrows, but they didn't appear to be hitting the beast.  If something wasn't done his good friends would die at the hands of a foul abomination.

Adam had a decision to make.  Jump in the hole and attack the beast with his companions or find Hassid and bring him back to the fight.  In going after Hassid he would abandon his friends to the abomination and the zombie for many moments.  Could they survive or did they need him right now?

He prayed briefly for guidance and received confirmation on the best course of action.  He yelled to Ireena to cast another bomb at the monster and then rushed to the door of the chapel to find Hassid.

Upon finding him resting against the wall he casts Remove Fear and reaches out to touch the fighter on the shoulder.

"Come my friend, our friends need us badly.  We won't survive this evil without your blade."

Adam then applies the spell to himself as he watches the Father's blessing heal Hassid.  Before rushing back to the battle Adam talks with Hassid about strategy.

"It will require all of us to kill this monster.  None of us alone as strong enough.  We must work as a team and overwhelm this beast.  You and I can start the offensive.  I'll attack it from the front from the stairs, while you jump through the hole and attack from the rear.  While it is concentrating on us other can gain their footing and join with us."

Hassid nodded to Adam as he felt the icy fist of fear release his heart.  Hassid once again felt that he had come home.  He nodded to Adam "It is a sound plan" he said before moving toward the hole, waiting to drop down until Adam began to move down the stairs to better flank the creature.

If they go down this turn.

Hassid drops down the hole rolling to his feet and bringing his blade to bare on the monster that had bitten him earlier.

My computer at home is fritzy so if I am not able to get to invis castle later tonight you can roll for me.  Attack, Damage & tumble to roll with the jump.  DC 15 for 10ft 25 for 20ft.

Yemam - Attacking the Undead |54/54 (AC: 17 [18 vs undead in front of me])|

Yemam attempts to once again either get out of the way so others can move in, but the sight of Hassid running away spooks Yemam and he can not figure out the proper footing for the roll.  Instead he takes his mace and swings at the undead in front of him.

The attack is wild as Yemam continues to worry about Hassid.

Tumble = 12
Attack = 15 (16 if I get higher ground bonus)
Damage = 2

(ooc: this is supposed to happen in the previous round, when I got hit)

Marius - getting pounded and still doing nothing ... [AC16 Mage Armor; 27/34 Hp] Random Roll=14

"Huh?" the shock to Marius' system is a bit much, everything that flies by seems to be happening in slow motion, he doesn't even notice the blood dripping from his arm.  Still in shock, and taking a defensive position, he attempts to summon the magic in his blood - Disrupt Undead- the this accursed place dull his voice and his blood does not hear him.

He's not sure how, but he senses that help might come from above, maybe it's dad, maybe Locke.  He grips his bow tightly takes a step back and jumps over the rail attempting to get to F2, "Can something please start working soon ..."

Cast Defensive=14

(ooc: I'm not sure how high the steps are but I'm guessing that from here not more than 10-ft thus Marius shouldn't take any damage for voluntarily dropping 10-ft)

(ooc: next round and assuming I made it to F2)

Marius - shooting arrow [AC 16 Mage Armor; 27/34 Hp]

The blood and shock slowly fade, Marius tightens his grip on the string of his bow, turns and lets his arrows fly at the hideous thing in K5.  "Not this time you stitched up pile of bones!"

Atk#1=28
Dam=13
(magic/pointblank/precise shot)
Atk#2=14
Dam=13

(occ: If I didn't make it to F2, let me know and I'll adjust the post.)

"Let's even these numbers up a little" Ioan mutters, shaking off the effects of the poison.

He brandishes his holy symbol and gestures at remaining undead. "Flee."

Turning check (1d20+3=9) (6 HD max)
Turning Damage (2d6+9=19) (19 total HD turned)

(Note: If the Undead run, Marius and Yemam may make attacks of opportunity)

Hassid knew what he had to do, he waited til Adam moved down the stairs for half a heartbeat before dropping down to create a flank on the creature.  After being nearly crippled by fear Hassid had found himself focused in battle, his mind clear of all distractions and emotions, even how wrong the creature was, it could be killed.

Hassid dropped down the hole landing in a roll coming to his feet behind the monster slicing at the creatures back in hopes that this time he will have an affect on it.

Tumble to jump down = 27
Jump = 27
Attack = 27 (Assuming flank & non crittable)
Damage = 18

AC = 24
Without more time at a compute with internet I believe that I am sitting on 30hp, though it could be lower.  I will continue to be out of a computer til thursday or friday, but will attempt to keep updated on posting for combat, Lon you can pull the Hassid Puppet Strings if I cannot make a post, I think you know the crazy things that he will do.

Lorelei took a side step and blasted the monstrosity that Marius had stuck with an arrorw. A glance was shot to Ireena, and then a mental note of how many undead they faced down here was made. Hassid dropping through the ceiling was a surprise, and the warlock all most unleashed a magical bolt into his back.. worried he was another baddie joining the fray.

(Moved to M7 and shooting K5. Blast (1d20+6=22) Dmg. (3d6=10) .. if K5 isn't 'alive' when Lorelei attacks, then she'll direct her blast at the one in C9. )

Adam watched Hassid run into the building and quickly followed.  He whispered a silent prayer for to the Father thanking Him for the ability to help Hassid.  He drew his greatsword and entered the rickety stairwell making plenty of noise so that the creature knew he was coming.

As he reachs the bottom of the stairs he bellows, "Daru, I've come to return you to your grave.  Its your time to travel the Path and Father is expecting you.  Your time here is done and a better world awaits you."

Through blustering and posing he works to keep the creatures awareness from Hassid approaching from the rear.

With a swiftly muttered "Weneedallthehelpwecanget" Ioan invokes Prayer.

Lorelei wasn't about to let up on the Doru - it was the group's primary target. And when it was gone, she'd move onto the rest of the undeads Remaining in her position, Lore used her favor weapon once more .. her magicks.

( Blast (1d20+6=23) Dmg. (3d6=12) )
