Hi everyone!
My name is Folkert and I used to be a member of GG a long time ago. Some might still remember me - even if I posted under a different Username (which I don't recall anymore) - as I usually/often signed my posts with my real name "Folkert".
Then I vanished from one day to the next, leaving a number of games I was playing in and one I wanted to GM behind without further word. I am dreadfully sorry for everyone I've slighted that way (especially the potential players of my "Redemption" game) and would to apologize for that to everyone I affected directly or indirectly (by harming the games I was in).
Unfortunately, the decision to leave had not been my own and wasn't really made by me: My last association with GG was working on the manuscript for my "Redemption" when I suddenly noticed a steadily growing bloodstain and thought "How curious." And that was my last conscious thought for a long, long time. In short, I had suffered a stroke and if my father had found me a few minutes later, I wouldn't be writing this.
The time since then has spent on such fun activities as re-learning how to speak, write, dress myself or trying to get the numb appendage dangling from my left shoulder to work again. Not to mention such simple things as walking.
All of that took it's time and GG had been gone from my mind and memory along with a big part of my old life. When I finally returned to RPGs late last year, I managed to find EN World again as I found evidence of that site on some of my old files. As luck would have, when I tried to get into a PbP game there, one of those responsible I had to email was H4Hire who told me that he still kept his character for the Redemption game, in case I wanted to give it another try. Initially I didn't really know what he was talking about, but slowly a few things came. Not much, not very detailed, but still ...
And so I am here again, happy to see that GG is still going strong after all that time.
Once again, an apology to everyone I've offended or inconvenienced with my absence and a heartfelt "Groovy Gaming" otherwise!
