The Menagerie [DnD 3.5] Faemore was a quite, peaceful town.. settled within three groupings of forests. Their water was always clean, their gardens ever green, and the wildlife that surrounded them was a blessing. All this was thanks to a local druid, Alvich Faunawood, who saw to it that everything in nature lived in perfect harmony. That is until lately. Something was amiss in this cozy woodlined town; something dark was brewing, and their savior Alvich was no where to be found. A Dark and Stormy Future (D20 Future) Humans were at peace. People were happy. Scientific study was blooming. The solar system has been explored, and colonization efforts are well under way. In a lonely solar system on the verge of faster than light travel, the human race sees new and old veins of corruption slowly spreading as corporations move off planet to claim territory of their own, buying their way into the political system with obvious biases. Piracy and theft begin to run rampant, and secret government projects begin to see the light of day, to the chagrin of their masters. In this Dark and Stormy future, people must quickly learn to fend for themselves, but can the human race band together in time to fight the shadows that may lurk at the edge of their galaxy? PULP!! The year is 1937, Germany is seemingly in control of the world. The Olympic games were just held there the year before and Max Schmiling sent a KO to Joe Louis that boxing fans can still feel and Germany reclaimed the Rhineland not even a year ago. Tensions are high in Europe, but back here at home they're just as bad. The Great Depression is still going strong and with many families not knowing where the next meal is coming from crime is rampant. The Mafia is running some cities with an iron fist and who knows how far their influence will spread. Into this world of uncertainty and fear, poverty and pain who can protect the innocent from the powerful? Who would fight for the rights of the everyday citizen? In addition to being a virtually limitless supply of energy and useful as medicine, the lake's water granted powers to a small percentage who were immersed in it and has increased the number of accidents, advances, and events that cause superhuman powers. Earth has known about superhumans for 10 years and about 5% of it, or 300 million, either have powers or access to devices that grant them. Many choose to not use their powers and lead normal lives, but others use them for good, evil, or other. Politics exist between factions of superhumans and ideas on reacting to them in the human population. A elected group called Congress of Champions is the world's largest land based group of superhumans and most feel the best hope for getting along with the superhuman community and protection from those who would do harm. An Uneasy Peace Permeates The Capital (D&D 3.5) The setting is the capital city of a large kingdom, which is getting used to the aftermath of an inconclusive political war between two noble houses. Any violence was either in street skirmishes among servants and the odd young noble, or in the darkened corners and away from public view. Troublesome as it was for the people of the city, the war was not quite enough to attract the attention of the ruling council of the nation, and the nobles were allowed to (fail to) solve their problems on their own. The conflict has finally groaned, exhaled, and lay still, but few believe that it couldn't be started again with ease. Some might prefer that it was. What happens next, however, will depend largely on the actions of four strangers who don't have any idea what they're about to step in. Moderator: hydingjekyll

Northern Crown: The Florida Debacle Trouble boils in the southern reaches of Northern Crown. Deep in the swamps and wetlands of Espaniard La Florida something is rising, menancing and powerful this force seems to be preparing for something unknown as of yet. Meanwhile, battling First Ones tribes are beginning to spill onto the borderlands of Carolingia and Nueva Espana. Aristocratic Youths seem to disappear into the night without word or signs as to why. The world seems to go silent, it is the calm before the storm, and something is being set into motion. Rise of the Superhero (M&M2e) The year is not 1938, in fact it's not even the 1900s anymore. Welcome to the new millenium and well guess what? It's pretty much the same. But I suppose the real stark difference between now and previous years is what is bubbling beneath the surface, somewhere close by and yet far away, within people, within realms unseen something is coming forth and that something is Super Powers. Super Powers are about to explode upon the world, and such a world will need heroes. People who are larger than life, with abilities beyond what one can imagine fighting whacky men in costumes, the unexplainable, and all other evils that lurk in the shadows.
